Some city passes include airport transfers from Ciampino and Fiumicino airports to the city centre, enhancing the convenience for travelers. Here, we present the most exciting Rome city passes that include the Colosseum.
What is a Rome City Card?
The Rome City Cards are a must-have for any visitor looking to explore Rome efficiently and affordably. These tourist cards grant free entry to one or many of the city’s top attractions, including the iconic Colosseum, the Vatican Museums, and the Sistine Chapel. One of the standout features of most of the Rome City Cards is the skip-the-line access, allowing you to bypass the often lengthy queues at popular sites. Additionally, the passes often include a hop-on hop-off bus tour or free public transport, providing a convenient way to navigate the city and see its landmarks. Roma Pass – public transport and 1 or 2 attractions
The Roma Pass is available for either 48 or 72 hours. It includes free access to public transport (bus, metro, tram) and access to one attraction (48h) or two attractions (72h), as well as discounts on numerous other attractions.
The Roma Pass is the official city pass of Rome, making it the most affordable option. However, if you choose the Colosseum, you’ll need to book your date and time slot online in advance at https://www.coopculture.it/en/poi/colosseum/. This costs an additional €2. In theory, you can also make the reservation on-site at the ticket office at the Roman Forum, but only for the same day and only if time slots are still available. Since the Colosseum is often fully booked, we recommend this option only during very quiet times.

Roma Super Pass – City Highlights & Public transport
The Roma Super Pass is currently priced from €115 and includes unlimited use of Rome’s public transport (metro, bus, tram) for three days. It covers nearly the same attractions as other passes but with slightly different ticket options:
- Colosseum, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill
- Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel (skip the line)
- St. Peter’s Basilica (audio guide)
Tickets must be collected at the Tourist Information Office (Piazza d’Ara Coeli). The date and time slot selected during booking apply to ticket pickup. The pass is then valid for three days.
Omnia Card- 72 hours
The Omnia Card Rome offers an exciting package for sightseeing fans at €149 (adults). It includes three days of unlimited public transport, enhancing the convenience for tourists, and access to the Hop-on, Hop-off bus. The card covers:
- Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel
- Lateran Basilica and Cloister (with audio guide)
- Carcer Tullianum (with audio guide)
- St. Mark’s Basilica and Underground (with audio guide)
- Two free attractions from the Roma Pass list, including the Colosseum
- Discounted entry to all other Roma Pass attractions
The Omnia Card can be ordered online but must be picked up in Rome at one of the ORP offices (St. Peter’s Square or Lateran Complex). Information regarding pick-up is provided in the confirmation email.
